Hi.
I have a few customers asking about a Conference Solution were they can manage from a single place and that also integrates via XML with the IP Phones.
I know CCC was used for that before but know with the acquisition of MeetingPlace probably CCC is dead already. What are the recommendations for a client that would like a conference solution with about 20-25 ports.
Thanks in advanced,

Cisco is still selling the CCC. It is probably an ideal solution for you with only 20-25 ports. Meeting place is MUCH more expensive, but has a LOT more features. If you are looking to record the conferences and email them later, integrate with Exchange or Domino Calendaring, mute participants, blah blah blah. Then you will want MeetingPlace and you will pay for it.
There are only a few downsides for CCC from a simple conference solution.
1. I don't like that you can't setup meetings over the phone. It has to be done on the website.
2. I don't like that the conference resources are statically reserved. Example. You have 20 users. And 2 people schedule weekly meetings on Wed at 10am. From now on. Nobody can schedule a meeting during that time. EVEN IF you only have 4 poople attend.
3. Right now it looks like there is a timelimit on how long the meetings can be. But the admin of the system can setup ones longer. I am sure there is some hidden .ini to change this.
4. There are no DTMF features for the conference owner to list participants etc. MP has all that I think.
5. You have to make Meeting ID's for all the meetings. I would rather have a card that I can give out to people with a reserved meeting ID that they could use as their own.

Are you sure Cisco is still selling CCC and if so why can't I get V2?
