Hi,
Is it possible to join MS Teams meetings from on-prem registered Cisco Room kit devices ?

Hello @jackskid
You can join MSFT Teams meetings if you use Webex Device Connector to user OBTP and calendar through Webex Control Hub (Register On Premises, but some features registered through cloud). It's not possible to join with On Premises only solution.

Hello @Jonas Fraga
Thanks for your reply. We were following the below link
So this case is only applicable when using WebEx Device Connector?
We are trying to setup Hybrid calendar using Expressway-C and WebEx which is completely on cloud.

Hi @Ashish Patel ,
Thanks for your inputs..
Regarding your 4th point related to WebRtc, is it possible to achieve if:
*Room kit registered in on-premise
*WebEx completely on cloud
*Expressway in on-premise
And for CVI do we need to register the room kit in cloud?

You can add on prem devices to your control hub using Cisco Webex Device Connector.
Cisco Webex Device Connector is a lightweight piece of software that you can use in your Control Hub-managed organization to automate your device-related tasks: onboarding Webex devices to the cloud and providing cloud features to on-premises registered devices in your Control Hub-managed organization.
Regarding the license,
Cisco Webex VIMT (CVI Cloud gateway)
- Will require an active Webex Org
- Licensing model based on “number of video endpoints actively used to join MS Teams meetings” (Cisco and 3rd Party
hw endpoints)
- No RMS required on Expressway for firewall traversal calls (license bypass for on-prem deployment)
- Cloud Device Registration for OBTP via Hybrid Calendar Service
Joining Microsoft Teams from Cisco Devices using WebRTC
- Standard Cisco Webex Cloud registered and Webex Edge device subscriptions apply (included with Flex or sold
separately list price). No additional costs

AFAIK there is no license needed for WebRTC.

Have a look on multiple options.

Thank you Roger.
One more question to add.. what about the case if it is hybrid exchange.?

This is a great question. It’s actually precisely the solution we have at work. We only use the cloud connection option for Hybrid Calendar and it works for us. We do get warnings on the Hybrid Calendar card in Control Hub, but it still works nevertheless.

Thanks Roger..
We are having Expressway for Jabber and can we use the same for hybrid services..? (Trying to setup the services in same vcsc where we are using Jabber, so do we need to check the box for Hybrid services ?)
Have done the steps mentioned in the document and the calendar connector and exchange services are running successfully.
But when scheduling the MS teams meeting, the information is not coming in room kit device..
Is there any TMS integration we have to do.?

I would not recommend you to run the Hybrid Calendar connector on an MRA C Expressway.
Have you enabled Hybrid Calendar on the workspace for the video device in Control Hub? You don’t need to have TMS for this.
FYI We discontinued to use TMS once we had setup Edge for devices on all our video devices as then you can do pretty much the same things with Control Hub and CM.

Have you enabled Hybrid Calendar on the workspace for the video device in Control Hub? This means that particular room kit device we need to add to Webex cloud and then switch on the calendar in that device, am I right...

As mentioned a number of times in previous answers by a few community members you have to enable Edge for devices on the video device. This is done with Webex Device Connector. This forms a bond between the on-prem device and the cloud services, you could see this as it puts it in a partial cloudy state. Doing this creates the Workspace and Device in Control Hub, on the Workspace you setup Hybrid Calendar by entering the email address of the room resource account for the device.
