I am installing callmanager 3.3(2) publisher server. After I have installed the CCM, most of the services are stoped (except a few, including the Cisco Database Layer Service which is started), and I need to go and select which services I need to start (from "Service Configuration"). After I start the rest of the services, all of them start, except the "Database Layer Monitor" service which hungs. After rebooting the machine, the same problem exists.
Any idea why the "Database Layer Monitor" service does not start?
Thanks

Check your Network cable is connected. I've seen cased where a disconnected NIC can stop the DBL service starting.
