Hello everyone,
I am getting the following error when I am trying to create any Vlan# higher than 1000:
"VTP advertisements transmitting temporarily stopped,
and will resume after the command finishes.
Cannot set vlans in extended range.
Reduced Mac Address feature is disabled in NVRAM."
Any ideas how to fix this?
Thank you,
Carlos T.

You need to enable MAC address reduction
Console> (enable) set spantree macreduction enable
MAC address reduction enabled

Also, you may try to put the switch in VTP transparent mode.
http://www.cisco.com/warp/customer/473/103.html
page 7, as one of the advantages to transparent mode:
"The extended VLAN range in CatOS 6.x, numbers 1025-4094, can only be configured in this way."
