MSFC Int Vlans DOWN when Trunk Port NOTCONNECTED.

We are try to re-insert a redundant Cat6500 Sup2MSFC2 into the active chassis, but after the module inserted into the chassis, it coz a network outage, as the active MSFC vlan interfaces do down and could not come up. And the same situation happen when we pull out the redundant sup module.

The redundancy on the MSFC part is using active-active via HSRP. Some info on the box as per attached.

Anyone could give a piece of advise here?

Thank you.

hi Wong,

can u provide a sh run, please?

Regards,

Sebastian

Hi Sebastian,

Thanks for look into this case. Due to this is a production box, the owner does has a security concern on showing the config to others. So, I have cut out some related portion and mask the ip address when necessary.

So, u may find the attached documents of portion of the show run on MSFC, and some statistic on the CatOS level.

The thing that I do not understand is when the trunk port 3/5 goes down, it does affect the MSFC interfaces. So, when "show spantree 113" during the outage, I couldn't see port 16/1 in forwarding state.

Thanks again for your help.

Regards,

WeiMing.
