Hi Kenny

You have posted:

"Cisco IOS Software, C1700 Software (C1700-Y-M), Version 12.3(4)T7, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc2)

....

System image file is "flash:c1700-y-mz.123-4.T7.bin"

This is an IP IOS Feature Set. It does NOT support IPSec

Hope this helps

Hi

IOS is not available freely over net as its a properity software and subject to legal actions.

If you have another router purchased by you yourself, then you can download it from there.Otherwise, you need to have a valid CCO login from which you can download the software for free.

You can ask your hardware supplier regarding the same.I am sure he will be able to help you.

In general IOS images identified with K9 in the image identification do support IPSec. I do not recognize the specific identication line that you provide. If you would also post the part of show version that includes the file name in flash it would give us a better identification of the image and we might be better able to answer your question.

But baiscally I believe that yes your imaage does support IPSec. What commands were you looking for to verify support of IPSec?

You are right, Jolmo!

So, the next question will be, can I upgrade the IOS to diff IP Feature Set.

Any cost involved here to get the IOS below with the feature set? I have check that

the IP/ADSL/FW/IDS Plus/IPSEC 3DES can be used for IPSEC>

Can I download the IOS and use it?

thks!

Sorry Desai for the confusion,

it will be this version..

Cisco IOS Software, C1700 Software (C1700-Y-M), Version 12.3(4)T7, RELEASE SOFTW

ARE (fc2)

Now i am almost there..just need to know if

the IOS feature set can be upgraded without

any costing...

It depends on your service level. Do you have any service contract for this router?

If not, you will have to order.
