Hi,
I'm replacing an Actiontec 724R DSL modem with a
CISCO-887VDSL/ADSL OVER POTS ROUTER
Mfg#:CIS-CISCO887VA-SEC-K9
I'm looking for example configs for this type of connection (graphic shows screen shot from current modem)
WAN IP: Static
DSL Mode Setting: MMODE
DSL Negotiated Mode: ADSL2Plus
VPI: 0
VCI: 35
ISP Protocol/Encapsulation: RFC 1483 Bridged
Any tips will be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi,
DSL configuration guide with several examples can be found here:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/tech/tk175/tk15/technologies_configuration_example09186a008015407f.shtml
From there, you can reach the page for RFC1483 bridged config:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/tech/tk175/tk15/technologies_configuration_example09186a008071a59c.shtml
Hope this helps
Marco
Personally, I would recommend to use "atm route-bridged ip" (RBE) instead of IRB.

Thank you kindly for this comment. Can you elaborate some as to why this preference?
I'm sure it's based on experience, so I'm really just asking about your experience in this regard if you would be so kind as to comment.
It's a simpler, more current configuration.
IRB was really just a workaround before RBE came in.
Thanks for the nice rating and good luck!
Can you share a config example?
