Hi Paul,

No, I logged a ticket with cisco and after some troubleshooting, they advised I should send back the device for replacement.

Regards,

Salom

Hi,

look at the output of the

show version

 command.

The reason for the last reload should appear there

also Try working according to the following link:

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/universal-gateways-access-servers/90-series-customer-premises-equipment/7900-crashes-router-troubleshooting.html

for 17.03.05 version There are a number of known bugs that cause crashes
You can see the bugs at the bottom of the attached link:

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/routers/access/4400/release/xe-17-3/isr4k-rel-notes-xe-17-3.html

Hi

It is difficult to recommend anything only with the information that the router is restarting. It can be power supply problem, can be a hardware problem, can be routing table problem. Do you have BGP on this router? how many routes to you receive?

How about CPU and memory?  What do you see in

show log ?

Yes I have BGP configured, I have BGP on my other router but it's stable no restart. The CPU is fine

CPU utilization for five seconds: 3%/0%; one minute: 2%; five minutes: 1%
PID Runtime(ms) Invoked uSecs 5Sec 1Min 5Min TTY Process

Are you facing power outage on this location?

There's no power issue onsite, I have other devices (Cisco 4321 router) connected to the same power feed but the uptime is 100%.

Post the complete output to the command

sh log on uptime.

If this was a crash, the output would say, at a minimum

reset local software.

  But this is

reset power on

and this points to either a faulty power outlet or a faulty power supply.

Does the router have dual power supplies?

No, It doesn't have a dual power supply. I have in the meantime logged a
call with TAC.

Get dual power supplies or get the power supply replaced.

I wish thee the best of luck.

Hi Leo,

The seems to be a hardware issue, I have replaced the router and it never rebooted again.

Regards,

Salom

I guess it wouldn’t reboot again as its a totally different rtr! - Did you try to add an additional PSU/ or replace the existing one  as @Leo Laohoo suggested?
