Hi,
Bit of a strange one that has be a tad confused. I have a 2921 running EIGRP for a few routes, but the rest are statics, or a default route.
For some reason I have a static route in my routing table for a host, but there is nothing in the config for this static route. I've overridden it with a lower metric static route, but really I want to know how this static has come to be on my device?
It's not a redistributed route as the route is tagged as a static, so I'm lost as to how it got into the routing table.
The route in question is the /32 for 10.211.15.87
.Unknown static route
As can be seen in the second image, there is no static route configured to point to 10.231.242.1, so where the heck is it coming from?
Any help is much appreciated

Hi Richard,
As you can see the AD value in that router is 254. Static routes with AD value 254 in the routing table are DHCP routes.
So this routes looks to be a DHCP route.

Ah ha!
that makes perfect sense, many thanks.
I'd set one of the interfaces to pickup an IP via DHCP, the 10.211.15.87 address is a DHCP server so I'm assuming it's been injected from the helper on the gateway for that interface.
Need to lab this up and replicate just to educate myself.
