Hi All,

We are having a Cisco 6500 with a Sup720 and running IOS 12.2(33)SXH6.

In switch log we see a below log which has continuousely appeared from few weeks back:

%HA_EM-6-LOG: Mandatory.go_unusedportlpbk.tcl: GOLD EEM TCL policy for TestUnusedPortLoopback

%CONST_DIAG-SP-3-HM_PORT_TEST_FAIL: Module module_number TestUnusedPortLoopback Port(s)[some_number] failed. System operation continues.

Can a guru tell me whether this is a severe bug ?

Thanks,

Sudeera.

Sounds like a blade failure to me.

Hey We are also getting the same kind of alert our IR switches (cisco 6506) .you said its look like blade failure and when i run the show module <mod no > commmand its showing the online diag status "minor error".please let me know this is minor issue or any critical impact alert

%CONST_DIAG-SP-3-HM_PORT_TEST_FAIL: Module module_number TestUnusedPortLoopback Port(s)[some_number] failed. System operation continues.

Hi,

I can see that Module 1, Port 1 is showing fail. What is connected to this port? Is it possible to "Shut" and "No Shut" once?

Hi Kumar,

This is the most extrange, interface 1 in module 1 is not connected to anything... i suppose it is a bug , but it appears suddenly, device is working fine without alarms several years ago
