The SNTC Support Community is intended for Cisco customers and partners seeking support for their SNTC Portal and Collector.  We encourage users to utilize the Discussions forum to interact with our global, cross-functional Subject Matter Experts and receive answers to any questions or inquiries they may have. We do remind users that this is a public forum and that private or proprietary information is not to be shared; this includes but is not limited to customer names or CCO IDs, network details, login credentials, etc.  If a Cisco SME requests private information from a user to facilitate issue resolution on the Community, we request that user utilize the Private Message feature. 

 

This blog directs users on how to share sensitive information with the supporting SME via the private messaging feature.

 

Process:

1. Login to the Support Community

2. Click the requesting SME's name in the reply.

Prerequisites and Best Practices

  • We request you only utilize the private message function when prompted to do so from a Cisco SME in regards to an ongoing discussion thread on the public forum
    • Post all initial inquiries to the public “Discussions” forum. The supporting SME will direct you to send a private message if delicate information is required, otherwise please post directly to the public thread.
  • Please only use this feature for exchange of private, proprietary information. All other communications should be posted to the public thread on the SNTC Community.
