I have problem with SNMP in some devices on my network, the collector doesn't reach. The community is correct and the colletor can ping the device. What should I do?

This indicates either an additional ACL/permissions issue or perhaps even a network connectivity issue. Are there any firewalls in between the device and CSPC that the traffic must pass through?

I would consider any potential NATing that may be taking place as well as monitoring the intermediate devices to see if the SNMP query is traversing each hop along the way.

Hello,

Can you please check if your devices have an ACL that may be blocking the SNMP requests? This would cause them to show as unreachable for CSPC.

Thank you,

Jarrett

I put a ACL to permit snmp to Collector's Server.

But doesn't solve my problem.

One way to do a validation test between the CSPC and Device is by logging into the CLI User as "root" and running a manual SNMPWalk command to see the output.

snmpwalk -v 2c -c example DeviceIPAddress .1.3.6.1.2.1.47.1.1.1.1.11

.1.3.6.1.2.1.47.1.1.1.1.11 Above is just a reference to ENTITY-MIB - Serial Number.

Thank you,

Hello,
In your test, please replace the word "example" with the configured SNMP Community string that you have configured on your device.
Thank you,
Jarrett
