Dear Cisco Support Team,

I'm requesting a status update on the bug CSCwm10281 - "Unable to upgrade SP patch on 2.11 ISO installations". This issue is critically impacting our ability to upgrade our CSPC installation and address important vulnerabilities.

Our situation:

  1. We need to upgrade our CSPC to address certain vulnerabilities.
  2. The upgrade process is failing due to this bug.
  3. Our end client requires an update on the resolution timeline.

Specific questions:

  1. Is there any updated status on the resolution of this bug?
  2. Are there any workarounds or alternative upgrade paths available?
  3. Can you provide an estimated timeframe for when a fix will be available?

We understand that bug fixes take time, but this issue significantly impacts our ability to maintain a secure environment for our client. Any information or guidance you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

Best regards,

why are they using an ISO?

Thank you for your prompt response. The use of an ISO installation is due to the virtualization environment our client is using, specifically Hyper-V. To clarify:

  1. Our client's infrastructure is based on Hyper-V virtualization.
  2. The ISO installation is the only compatible option for deploying CSPC in this Hyper-V environment.
  3. This setup is necessary to meet the client's specific infrastructure requirements and constraints.

Given this context, we're particularly concerned about the upgrade issues related to bug CSCwm10281, as it directly affects our ability to maintain and secure the CSPC installation in this Hyper-V environment.
