SF300 Cable

Hello, I have an SF300 and I was browsing to find which type of cabling I would need to buy, I understand that it's a female db9, but I was curious if it was any or if it had to follow a specific type. As well as if there's any recommendations for which cable. Finally if I could also just buy a usb to RS232 adapter with ftdi chipset?

So the device have RS232 port as below :

I just checked it, does it have to be a Null Modem pinout or can it be any?

are you going to make new cable ? or just buy from shelves ready made (null should work - again what kind of null connector ?)

I'm simply trying to buy one already made. I didn't have one in mind, I was asking to know what would and what wouldn't so that I buy the correct one
