catalyst 3850 power supply air flow

Hi all.

Is it possible to replace the PSU in a WS-C3850-48XS-S ( front-to-back power supply) to back-to-front power supply in the same chassis and get opposite air flow?

Hi,

No, that is not possible. You can only do that with some Nexus series switches and not Catalyst.

You will get different types of fan models below are the part numbers, but you can't change it back to front and front to back.

FAN-T3-R= Fan module spare front-to-back airflow for 48XS

FAN-T3-F= Fan module spare back-to-front airflow for 48XS
