So experiencing difficulties loading new image on 4500 series switches.
One issue, I want the top supervisor to be the primary not standby. ANyone know how to change this?
Also, I did:
no boot system flash (old image)
boot system flash (new image)
copy run start
reload
but old image is still used upon reboot and the "show boot" will display both images as the boot image.
Anyone know how to fix this?

source_device:source_filename
source_device : this can be any thing like , USB / TFTP / FTP or any other
source_filename : the filename you like to copy. example IOS.12.X.bin
You need plan and understand detailed steps for the upgrading path.
you should take some precaution measure steps, while you doing core switch in your case 4510 for the IOS upgrade.
also keep upto date your backup plan if it fails, how fast you can restore to old setup, with out any service interruption.
do all the task in maintenance window. technically not expected any long down time, there will be small network switch over and network convergence.
