Hi,
I have a Cisco 6500, reshuffled the cards around but now I have slots 5 and 6 as 24-port SFP blades however these slots are physically empty. I need to do some house cleaning but dont know how to reset or clear what was in slots 5 and 6. Let me know how to clear.

You need to do either -
1) add this to your config and save -
6500(config) module clear-config
but the module needs to be in the slot you are removing it from before you enter this command. If you remove the module first then apply this command it will not remove the config for the module you have removed
or
2) manually removed the config for the module
or
3) reboot the switch

How do I manually remove the configs? The cards are seated in the correct slots already.
