We have a Cisco Catalyst 4510R+E Switch and we want to install 10 Gigabit Ethernet port slots on it. We want to know that how many number of slots can de added to the switch with maximum number of 10 Gigabit Ethernet ports per slot. And what can be the maximum number of 10 Gigabit Ethernet ports on a particular LAN card slot. And please also suggest the respective LAN card slot PIDs.
If the chassis has the right amount of power supplies, up to 8. Each WS-X4712-SFP+E requires >90 wac.
WS-X4712-SFP+E can only be used in non-Supervisor engine slot.
IMPORTANT: Each 4510R+E slot, with Sup7E, has a bandwidth speed of 48 Gbps.
