I trying to connect a Fiber using a Media converter so the connectivity its like this
Switch (Fiber) ---- (Fiber)Media Converter(Copper) --- (Copper)Switch
I have activity in the Fiber side of the media converter but not in the switch (Fiber).
What kind of configuration do am I missing or do I need two media converters one from the switch fiber and another one from the (Copper Switch) also this is what I have setup in the Switch port (Fiber)
interface GigabitEthernet1/0/5
switchport trunk native vlan 1001
switchport trunk allowed vlan 8,108,114-118,208,209,1001
switchport mode trunk
The Switch (Fiber) is a WS-C3850-12S

Hello @soypablocr,
First of all, I would like to say that there is no any configuration related to the multimedia converters!
The most interesting is the way you have used it, usually it should be: switch >>>MC ......MC<<< switch, that's why they usually produce the multimedia converters in pairs and any piece of this pair will never work with the switch individually, as a result, I would like to ask you to share with us the kind and the model of the used multimedia converter!
Also, you can try to exchange the rx and tx of the fiber in any side (only one side) whether the switch one or the MC one, it usually help when we miss connect the tx or one device to the rx of the second device!
