Hello Everyone,
A quick question regarding line cards distribution in a 7710 chassis. If i have two line cards per chassis. From high availibility point of view, Is there any pros and cons of installing both cards next to each other e.g. slot #1 and #2 vs installing in slot#1 and #7 (slot#5 & 6 are reserved for SUPs). The reason i am concerned is there may be any power supplies or FABs distribution for slots.
Thanks in advance
Regards

Each fabric module has a 220G connection to all slots in the chassis so it doesn't matter from a redundancy standpoint where the modules are. The more fab modules you add, the more aggregate bandwidth per slot you have. Same for power, redundancy is determined by the number of power supplies needed to support the line cards.
