EIGRP load balancing

I have 4 x 3750E in a stack which provide connectivity to a server farm, I want to link

the stack to a 6509 but  need to know which would perform better load balancing. A

4 x 1G point to point Layer 3 links with a summary route advertising the server farm network

into the 6509, so EIGRP is showing 4 paths  or creating a 4port 4G layer-3 etherchannel with the 6509E.

Also if I was to configure policy based routing would it be more efficient on the 3750 stack or the 6509-Sup720-3B

thanks.

You will get better load distribution over the links if you use the etherchannel, unless you have a very diverse set of IP source and destination addresses due the hashing used in the load-balancing calculations.

As for PBR both the 3750 and the Cat6k perform forwarding of PBR switches packets in HW (there are some caveats) but there should be no performance hit for either platform.
