Etherchannel setup

I have a Cisco 2960-X AL and a 3850-XS 10G SFP+. I have added an etherchannel bundle of 2 interfaces on both switches and the port-channel is up. The goal is to increase the throughput capability of the 2960-X. My question is, as the ports say they're up/connected on both switches, on the 3850 itself the lights are flashing amber. Is there some error im missing? Or is this normal? The following is my etherchannel detail out and logs.

Optics are the same, 1GB SFP (same brand) both ends, tested with multi-mode and single mode LC to LC cabling. based on the fact it does the same thing on another 10GB switch i think a bug is my issue.
