We have Two 3750 swtiches stacked together
Switch Ports Model SW Version SW Image
------ ----- ----- ---------- ----------
1 12 WS-C3750G-12S 12.2(40)SE C3750-ADVIPSERVICESK
* 2 52 WS-C3750G-48PS 12.2(40)SE C3750-ADVIPSERVICESK
For last few days we see the particular CPU process on the switch is very high and users also complaining of slow application response.
Please let me for what purpose this process is used and is there any way to bring down the ultilization.
Thanks
Jackie

Not sure what this function does but it is normally the highest process on the 3X50 switches. When you say high , what is high ? Normally it will say at least 20% with nothing even attached to the switch. As far as slow application response you would need to look at the complete path . Where is the application located? Is there a problem with that subnet or server etc.. Could have nothing to do with the 3750 . If the cpu is like 80% then thats different and you may need to stick a packet analyzer on to determine if someone is doing something they shouldn't be .

I remember this from a while back that this was a bug in several IOS releases, and was corrected in the 12.2(44)SE and above versions.
