Network speed during file transfer using LAN

Hi,

I have two laptops connected to a cisco 2960 switch on fast ethernet ports. Both are pinging each other.

Now from one laptop I want to copy and paste a file of 1 GB to the second laptop using LAN, I want to know how much time it will take in doing that???

As per my calculation being a fast ethernet link, it should take 80 seconds... am i correct???

It depends how quick the laptop can write the data to disk/storage too.
