Hi all,
I have to configure my 5672 with the fex 2348 via QSFP , I did the normal configuration but the fex is not starting up.
Is there any special configuration when I use the QSFP?
Thanks.

Did you ever get this working? I have the same issue and am on the verge of submitting a ticket with TAC.

Can you please post your uplinks config?
It should look like something like this:
feature fex
interface Po111 description UPLINK FEX-01 vpc 111 switchport mode fex-fabric fex associate 111 no shut interface Ethernet1/111 description UPLINK FEX-01 switchport mode fex-fabric fex associate 111 channel-group 111 no shut interface Ethernet1/112 description UPLINK FEX-01 switchport mode fex-fabric fex associate 111 channel-group 111 no shut
!to verify
#show fex 111 detail
If your configs are good then make sure you are using supported twinax cables or LC breakout cables.
I hope this helps. Good luck!

I opened a TAC case and discovered we had the 2348TQ-E FEX modules (not the 2348TQ), which require 7.3 software to be recognized. Once I upgraded (and power cycled the FEX's) they came online.

Excellent. Thanks for sharing your solution. I just checked that apparently 'Cisco NX-OS Release 7.3(0)N1(1) for Cisco Nexus 5500 and 5600 platforms and 6000 Series' is the minimum software requirement.

IS VPC command is really required in port-channel configuration ?
