Nexus 7K F132 with FAB2

Hi, my F132 is running at 230Gbps in 7009 and 5x FAB2. Why is this F1 card running at this speed and M2 card is at full 550Gbps?

Datasheets of both cards give their max BW lower than 550Gbps. After all, maybe the question should rather be why the M2 is at 550Gbps

Thank you for any input!

Hi,

See this below:

Cisco Nexus 7000  F1-Series 32-Port 1 and 10 Gigabit Ethernet Module Date Sheet

Fabric Interface

Switch fabric interface

• 230 Gbps in each direction (460 Gbps full duplex) distributed across five Cisco Nexus 7000 Series fabric modules with 46 Gbps per slot

• 320-Gbps switching capacity, per module, in meshed architecture

Cisco Nexus 7000 M2-Series 24-Port 10 Gigabit Ethernet Module with XL Option Data Sheet

Fabric Interface

Switch fabric interface

550 Gbps in each direction (1.1 Tbps full duplex) distributed across up to five Fabric-2 modules

230 Gbps in each direction (460 Gbps full duplex) distributed across up to five Fabric-1 modules

Leo, thanks for the link, marked as correct.

To add I used this table for my comparison:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps9402/prod_models_comparison.html#~tab-b .

There M224 is 240Gbps and F132 used to have 230Gbps. Interestingly that FAB2 enable 550Gbps on M2 but not on F1.
