NIM-1GE-CU-SFP 1000 MEG Full Issues

All,

I have a NIM-1GE-CU-SFP

I have the Media Type set to

interface GigabitEthernet0/1/0
media-type rj45
negotiation auto

If I try to set the speed too 1000 full, it wont let me. Only gives me an option for 10 Meg or 100 Meg.

Any ideas on why?

Router(config)#interface GigabitEthernet0/1/0
Router(config-if)#no negotiation auto
Router(config-if)#speed ?
10 Force 10 Mbps operation
100 Force 100 Mbps operation

Router(config-if)#

Thank you in advance for taking time to read this post.

Carlos

Let the module auto-negotiate to 1 Gbps.
Any reason why you want to hard-code 1 Gbps when, by default, the network module will operate at the default speed of 1 Gbps?

I would prefer to hard to set the speed to 1000 meg Duplex full.  It does not appear I can do this with this particular card.

Are you saying there is not an option to hard set the port to GiG/Full?

I suspect the card will auto-negotiate to 1 Gbps, full duplex if left alone.

Hi,

In addition to Leo's comment, make sure you have the right IOS installed.
