You probably downloaded the wrong image. There are images "w/o crypto" and images where crypto is not mentioned. You need the later ones, these have a filename that includes "k9" which stands for crypto-support.

Hi,

Hi,

I just recently purchased x2 Cisco 3550 switches to aid in my ICND1 + 2 studies and have discovered that the current IOS version they are running isn't the version that supports "Crypto Key Generate".

Is it possible to obtain "c3550-ipbasek9-mz.122-44.SE6.bin"?

Any help in this mater would be greatly appreciated.
