Perl script in Network devices.

Hi experts,

Perl is one of the best software for the scripting.

Is it possible to use Perl scripting for the network devices like Switch, Router and firewall etc.,

If it is possible, please send some links for the reference.

Hello Saravanan,

To my knowledge, there is no Perl interpreter directly implemented in any of the IOS versions. The only scripting language currently available is the Tcl, available mostly on router IOSes.
