Stacking two different 3850 model switches

hi 

i have a WS-C3850-48XS   with ipservices license and SW version 3.07.04E and a WS-C3850-12XS ipbase license and SW version 16.6.2. I am planning to stack these two with 48xs has switch 1 and 12xs as switch 2 and also upgrade the 48XS to 16.6.2. Can you let me know if this would work ? if not can you make me any suggestions to make it work.

Hi,

The 48 port does not support stacking.

Have a look:

The following switch models do not support StackWise-480:

• WS-C3850-48XS-S

• WS-C3850-48XS-E

• WS-C3850-48XS-F-S

• WS-C3850-48XS-F-E
