Hi,

Few things needs to be verified before any comment on the above problem.

How is this switches connected ?

Diagram would be helpful.

Running confg of the both switches.

Hi Pravinxyz.

basically this is L2 network. which from Core-siwtch directly connected to Access Switch and Server Farm switch.

thanks.

This type of error, %SPANTREE-2-RX_1QPVIDERR, indicates a STP BPDU that was tagged and received by port 2/2 on the coreSwitch, has an inconsistent VLAN ID of the transmitting port.

(you currently have the coreSwitch 2/2 receiving port in VLAN 144 and the transmitting port in VLAN 311)

Either reconfigure your receiving port to have the same VLAN ID as the transmitting port or reconfigure the transmitting port to have the same VLAN ID as the receiving port.

If you still need help after doing that, send the config of both switches and we'll verify where the problem is.

i had a similar problem once. I had a hostflap on a few of my switches. it ended up being a server with two NIC's on different networks, It had two default gateways.
