Dear all,
I have an issue on a switch Cisco 6880 installed few days ago...
From the logs the following message appear:
switch 1 module 5 asic-1 temperature crossed threshold
Is this a recognized bug or I need to request an RMA of the switch module ?
In attachment some show output I already did.
Can anyone help me?

Hi,
switch 1 module 5 asic-1 temperature: 84C
It maybe caused by high temperature in the room. Can you lower the temperature in the room (make it cooler) and watch the logs again?

Yes but the overruns are an issue i would look into that , your either maxing out the ports and dropping traffic or hitting the bug below

This C6880-X-LE device running 15.2(1)SY4 is hitting:
may have hit the following software defect:
CSCus47027 - Input Overruns Counter on 6800-IA Incorrect
<br />
Symptom:
On 6800-IA switches attached to 6880-X-LE switches in VSS, the Input Overruns error counter in "show interface" output will randomly increment or increment at a rate that is not possible.
Conditions:
The output of "show interface " will list a high number of input overruns on 6800-IA interfaces. This counter may increment by a large amount periodically.
Checking the same output on the 6800-IA itself (via the "attach fex" command) will show no input overruns.
Workaround:
None at this time. This appears to be a cosmetic issue.

Hi
when i ran your show tech through the analyzer it didnt pick up any hardwrae issues , it reported back fine , but it has picked up a software issue so you could look into upgrading , its only a cosmetic bug though so it should not be service effecting but its making the ports look like there over utilized
