Analysis:
=========

==>   Log shows that active supervisor didnt get right keepalive packet from standby sup at a result it reload standby sup. It looks like during the timeframe mentioned above      -there has been a communication issue with the statndby like some from of IPC communication is blocked . I think this is either a stuck port on the RP of a Standby     -module.

==> Going forward I would like to know if we can do reseat of the standby module? If not then monitor for now and get back to me in case if this issue re-occurs.

Also kindly check if there is any crash file been generated for this standby sup on the box?

Hi,

thx for helping so fast. We´ll do a reset of mod6 and keep an eye on it. I´ll let you know the results. It may last a couple of days.

Horst

Hi Hdussa,

Please can you advise on how the issue got resolved since I'm facing the same issue.

Thanks

Sabine

Hi Horst,

It looks like module 6 not replied for  keepalive message for a while and crashed to recover from the error .

2122: Nov 25 04:46:05.498 CET: %OIR-SP-3-PWRCYCLE: Card in module 6, is being power-cycled 'RF KPA request'

This message indicates that the RF KPA messages have not been sent from the peer for the specified numbers of seconds. This message is printed after every third KPA timer expiry.
