Hi,

PT is very limited and you can choose CCNA lab hardware as https://www.ebay.com/itm/1-eBay-Seller-220-301-Updated-Cisco-CCNA-Massive-Lab-KIT-5x-Router-3x-Switch-L3-/300984685985

(this is third party website and make your research before buying the same)

You Can also use the GNS3, EVE-NG, or Cisco VIRL(CML). Here CML is free (Limited), GNS3 is also free and EVE-NG community edition is also free. I think this will save a lot and give you more flexible options

PT is excellent for CCNA level!  but not so for CCNP. You should use PT before moving onto CCNP.

CML is OK too if you can get it running; I would wait for CML 2.1 -updated version.  see CML group

The only hope is Eve-ng;  you have the best chances getting all the way to CCIE with Eve and good PC.

Packet tracer is a simulator from Net Academy for Cisco CCNA course. It is FREE now, just register to watch brief intro video about how to use PT - you should watch the whole thing.

For all CCNA cert question you should go to CLN and CCNA Study group  https://learningnetwork.cisco.com/s/topic/0TO3i0000008jYHGAY/ccna-certification-community

PT info https://www.netacad.com/virtual/app/introduction-packet-tracer

note: you do not need to go thru the whole class to get PT; just 1st one
