Cisco EQ Codec with CCS-MIC-ARRAY-T wiring.

I am finding the wiring for the new EQ Codec is not documented in much detail - Can anyone point me to the correct place... The mic array install doc suggests a switch but doesn't show all the wiring options.

Do I need two switches as per below or can I put everything Navigator and mics on the client network and have it all connect via the network? Or even just use one switch and then have that connect to 'Panel' or 'POE 1' network ports?

The Table Microphone Pro is an Ethernet-connected PoE microphone; that is the only cabling option. I believe it must be connected, either directly or via a L2 switch, to the private network port of the codec. The Room Navigator panel can be paired across the LAN but it’s easier and less susceptible to issues if you connect it to the private network as well.

Yes for more than 3 mics you need to pay up.

With RoomOS 11.24 and later, the AV Integrator Option is no longer required to use more than 3 Microphone Pros.   You can use up to eight without the option key.

if connected navigator directly with codec and connect one of the poe port of codec to switch the navigator connection getting down and waiting for network connection? why it is so? we have connected microphones to switch and all in same switch. microphones didnt detected in codec. do we need to connect all microphone, navigator and camera controller in switch and only one connection to from switch to codec EQ? if so LAN network connection or poe port to be used.

documentation is very poor from cisco from connectivity point of view.

You need to make sure you are using a PoE switch (to power the navigator and microphones), and that this switch is connected to one of the codec's internal network ports.   It will not work connected to the normal LAN port of the codec.

Can you use any type of POE switch, like the device below or is there only certain brands that can be used?

Any switch that supports multicast and provides an IGMP querier function should work - but that's on you to test/qualify/support. Most unmanaged switches blindly flood multicast traffic which should also work, but again: that's on you to test.

In my opinion, the main advantage of using a Cisco switch is that TAC can't point fingers if there is ever a problem.

As @Jonathan Schulenberg  mentioned, any unmanaged switch can technically work. For example, I’ve successfully used a Dahua unmanaged switch connected to the EQX with CMP, and haven’t encountered any issues so far.

However, I came across another thread where users experienced delays in the Touch Mute function, which were traced back to a third-party switch. The issue was resolved by switching to a Cisco switch, highlighting the importance of compatibility.

If you do face any issues, it’s recommended to switch to a Cisco switch, ideally the C1200 series, as Cisco has released specific configuration guidelines for connecting peripherals to their codecs using this switch.
