Cisco Meeting Server Dual Home - SfB using AVMCU as bridge - scheduling auto connect not OBTP

Hi

Current environment  provide interop to Microsoft enviroment SfB

TMS 15.5 / TMSXE 5.5

CMS latest 2.2

350 Cisco EP's MX /SX

Meetings to be booked using Skype Meetings in outlook

Meetings will be hosted on AVMCU

Can automatic connect be used to connect the Cisco Rooms / Codecs into these SfB conferences?

Some people have mentioned only one button to push is supported.

If only OBTP works , why is it?

Is there a document that explains the only supported conference scheduling for dual home is OBTP

You can connect to a dual homed conference either by manually dialing in or using TMS (via TMSXE), the TMSXE 5.3 Release Notes doesn't specify a specific conference type (most comment is OBTP), it says:

The conference type of Skype Meeting, is based on Cisco TMS Default conference type. The Skype Meeting is saved in Cisco TMS, as an externally hosted meeting

Since TMSXE is scheduling the Skype for Business conference as an external hosted conference, you could schedule it as Automatic Connect or OBTP.

Can I please ask a followup question.

If the call in question is scheduled using SFB plugin in Outlook - does it allow a user to select "Automatic Connect" conference, thus instructing the TMS to produce the call (dial out to the endpoints)?

If this is not the correct way to request it, how is it requested?

Many thanks.

Joe

Automatic Connect or OBTP, whatever the connect method you want must be set as the Default Reservation Type for Scheduled Calls in TMS under Admin Tools > Configuration > Conference Settings.

You might be able to use Cisco Telepresence form to schedule a conference and request "Auto Connect" from that for individual calls.

How exactly is this done?  I am in the process of the configuration and curious on this setup.
