What software version is it on? I believe it needs to be 9.15 to know of the latest certificates being used. If older, download the software from Cisco.com and install locally or try using cloud upgrader.

The current software version is CE 9.7.1, i will try 9.15 and feedback you, but i found three files for version 9.15 which are cmterm-s52040ce9_15_16_5.k3.cop.sgn, cmterm-s52040ce9_15_16_5.k4.cop.sha512 and s52040ce9_15_16_5.pkg, should i use s52040ce9_15_16_5.pkg for the upgrade??

i had upgraded it to 9.15 and is registered successfully, many thanks for your support, have a nice day

It is likely that a firewall is blocking the traffic between your video conference endpoint and the Webex cloud. Please check with your firewall team to open the required ports for Webex endpoint registration and media.

For more information on the network requirements for Webex, please see the following link:

Additionally, as mentioned by @Jonathan Schulenberg, please try upgrading your DX80 to the latest firmware from the Cisco Software Center.

i tried to connect it to DSL router direct, but same issue found

I received a DX80 due to a shipping error last year.  The company that it was supposed to go to told me to keep it.  It's brand new and I'm trying to activate and register it but am unable to get past the screen which says that I'm being blocked by a firewall.  I called support but they won't support this machine anymore.  Is there any way to get this to connect to activate?  I would then have to download the updated system software.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks

The device cannot connect to the Webex service for registration, so you need to resolve this with your network administrator.

That date does not apply for DX80, it’s the DX70 that is listed in the announcement.

Thanks, @Roger Kallberg  For some reason, I had DX80 stuck in my mind.

Hi Nithin,

Thank you for the reply.  I have a business phone and internet through Verizon since I have a small business.  Would they be considered my network administrator.  I would love to be able to use this device.  Will it still work if it cannot be used with the Webex cloud after June 1st?

It seems the device is unable to reach the Webex services to complete registration after entering the 16-digit activation code. I recommend performing a factory reset and then trying to register the device again.

Apologies for the confusion earlier regarding the Webex support for DX 80.
