Hi Guys,
I am trying to understand that why do we need to have a separate domain or subdomain for XMPP in CMS.
the explanation in the Cisco documents that we need to use one domain for UCM ( jabber) and hence we need a separate unique domain for XMPP.
can anyone guide me where exactly this will impact if we have a single domain for both CMS XMPP and Jabber users?
is it when the user log in to the client application or while routing the call itself?
highly appreciated your feedback further.

Hello,
There is no need to put separate domain for XMPP in CMS.
Within your Cisco UC environment you can use a single domain and there will be no issues in that.
The separate domain is only required when you are integrating you CMS with Microsoft Lync or S4B.
Thanks
