When upgrading an endpoint from TC4.2.x to 5.x, will I need to apply a new license?

Yes, you need a new release key for this upgrade.
Only minor upgrades can be done with current release key, i.e. 4.0 to 4.2 etc.
To obtain a new release key the end-point(s) must have a valid service contract in place, if this is the case then a new key can be obtained either through the licensing portal or you can get it from TAC.

For new release key, you should... (instead of contact TAC, Cisco Global License team handle license relate case including new RK request for Endpoint).
