Changing the Windows Domain of a CUEAC Server

Hi,

I have a customer with CUEAC 8.6 who needs to move the server from one Windows domain to another.  The IP address of the server would not be changed.

Does anyone know if this is possible or whether a complete server build is required?

The CUxAC Troubleshooting Guide - see below - covers changing the IP address but no mention is made of domains.

I don't see why that would be any problem as nothing in CUEAC application depends on AD. I never changed to different domain, but I have moved the server from workgroup to AD with no issues.

I too cannot see why it should be an issue. It is useful to know that you successfully moved from Workgroup to AD.

The server is using SQL Express rather than an off box SQL server. If it were using the latter then I guess that could be an issue??

On a related question what do people do to back up CUEAC? - would the process at the link below work to back up the SQL database?

I dont see why that would be an issue either as SQL does not rely on AD in any way.

Yes, standard SQL backup can be applied.
