CIPC 7.0.X and CDP

I just run into an issue with CIPC and CDP packets advertised by the IP Communicator.

It looks like the  CIPC 7.0.5 comes with CDP driver version 1.0 and  CIPC 7.0.6 comes with CDP driver 1.0(2). Both of these version do not seem to send out CDP packets when used with Windows XP. But when you install  CIPC 7.0.3 it comes with CDP driver 2.0 and it works correctly.

I just wanted to find out if I'm the only one who experienced this. This is an issue with you use CIPC with CER.

Hi,

CIPC 7.0.6 should not have any issues with CDP on Windows XP 32 bit. Please make sure to uninstall CIPC before installing new version. You can also try to run the installer as local admin. Please look into CIPC trace of any issues with CDP installation or operation

CIPC installation:C:\Documents and Settings\\Application Data\Cisco\Communicator\Installer

CIPC logs: C:\Documents and Settings\\Local Settings\Application Data\Cisco\Communicator\
