Hi Team,

We are facing "Unknown error please contact administrator" while uploading the wav file to the standard greeting in cisco unity connection 12.5.

I was using the audio converter to match the requirement for uploading the wav file, but still it did not work.

Please advise to fix this issue.

Convert that to g711 format using  https://g711.org/

And upload. it should work.

When you attempt to use a previously recorded WAV file (for example, an announcement that was recorded earlier) rather than making a new recording using a phone or computer, the Media Player may display the following error message while saving the page:

"Audio format not supported"

To resolve this problem, do one of the following:

Convert the WAV file to another audio format (for example, convert it to the G.711 audio format).

Use a WAV file that is recorded in a supported audio format.
Make the recording using a phone.

Regards,

Rachel Gomez

Thank you Nithin.

Nithin, we tried the above solution, and we continue to get the consult your administrator.

i tried all formats also in g711, all variations, no go

i took the trace results of tomcat also to see the rror

error

but no error there also.

Unknown error. Please contact to System Administrator"

If you receive the above error message, you need to enable the VMREST (all levels) traces and see the diag_Tomcat_*.uc log file to troubleshoot the problem.

tried this too, no go

also you can use "Goldwave" program, which is very good to make auto output of "Telephony u-Law" wav format..
