We have a customer running CUBAC 8.6.2.611 and CUCM 8.6(2a)SU1. They have an external Bogen zone paging equipment connected to the phone system. So from a phone they dial extension 700, it answers with a beep and then they enter 00, 01, 02 depending on what zone they want to page.
The customer's CEO wants to "hide" the receptionist desk phone and have the receptionist use CUBAC purely through keyboard shortcuts, and never have to touch the phone. The one issue is that in order for the zone paging to work, the phone must be accessible because:
1. CUBAC/CUCM doesn't support pauses in speed dials (yet)
2. When dialing a number using only the keyboard and CUBAC, CUBAC doesn't seem able to send any more digits after the call is completed. So it will call extension 700 but unable to send any of the zone codes, 00, 01, 02.
Has anyone else run into this before?
Thanks,
Dan

The zone codes are the manually entered by operation or expected to dial automatically somehow? CUEAC is not capable of sending DTMF in mid call to my knowledge.

You can send DTMF tones from the console by holding down the control key and pressing the numbers.
