Hi All,
Good Day. We are planning to upgrade our Call Manager version 9.1.1(a) to version 10.5. Can we upgrade it directly to 10.5(2)SU3a? We would like to verify the proper procedure in upgrading CUCM 9.1.1(a) to 10.5(2)SU3a so that we can successfully performed the upgrade activity. With this, do we need to install first a cop file before installing the upgrade file for 10.5(2)SU3a? Appreciate if you can share us the proper upgrade procedure and if there are still file that needs to be installed prior to the CUCM 10.5(2)SU3a installation.
Thank you so much.

Is it also correct to say that when after upgrading the CUCM 9.1.1(a) to 10.5(2)SU3a, it will still support or compatible with the Cisco Unity Connection 9.1.1(a)?
We have CUCM, CUC and UCCX. We will first upgrade the CUCM 9.1.1(a) to 10.5(2)SU3a this coming weekend and UCCX maybe next two weeks and CUC will stay on version 9.1.1(a).
CUCM: from version 9.1.1(a) --> upgrade to version 10.5(2)SU3a
UCCX: from version 9.0(2)SU3 --> upgrade to version 10.6(1)SU2
CUC: will stay in version 9.1.1(a)
Appreciate if you still have additional inputs and information regarding our upcoming upgrade plan. Thank you so much

Yes, CUC 9.1.1(a) will be compatible with CM 10.5(2) SU3. Refer below:

Your upgrade plan looks good however you can still go ahead and open a proactive TAC case just to be on the safer side.

Hi Deepak
I am upgrading client from 9.1 to 11.0 and I am seeing the Publisher only has 16Gb left in the common partition. At the moment the OVA is already for both 9.1 and 11.0 is 110GB. Does running the ciscocm.free_common_space_v1.3.k3.cop.sgn free up the space? How can I increase the common partition to above 25GB?
Thanks

Yes you can upgrade it directly to cucm 10.5.2. Just you need to install ciscocm.version3-keys.cop.sgn on all nodes in cluster and then need a restart the cluster after that you can apply 10.5.2 upgrade file on all nodes then do switch version at publisher then subsequent nodes.
For detailed procedure you should review upgrade guides.
