Hi Cisco TAC,
We are using CUCM 11.5 su2, and would like to integate with VG400 for analog endpoint purpose
And we found that CUCM11.5 su2, is unable to add new gateway via mgcp or sccp.
Refer to CSR compatibility matrix
https://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/uc_system/unified/communications/system/Compatibility/CSR-Compatibility-Matrix-InteractiveHTML.html
In ordre to support VG400, CUCM11.5 has to be updated to SU7 or above.
That allows CUCM11.5 (the GUI admin portal) to include the VG400 in the option list while adding a new MGCP/SCCP gateway.
Refer to VG400 Datasheet
https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/unified-communications/vg-series-gateways/datasheet-c78-741973.html
VG400 supports SIP and H.323v4.
Is that mean we can use CUCM11.5 su2 to integrate with VG400 via SIP/H323 for the analog device?
Thank you

CUCM 11.5 is EoL, so you should upgrade to at least CUCM 14 anyway.
You probably are able to integrate the VG with SIP (H.323 shouldn't be used anymore) but then it's just a SIP trunk in CUCM and you have to do the VG config on your own (SIP, dial-peers, ...), like an old voice gateway with SIP and E1 / T1 interface.

First of all this is community not in any relation TAC. That said why not upgrade your system to something that has direct support for the device that you want to use? You should be aware of that the 11.5 version is outdated and out of support. You’d be recommended to upgrade to version 14 or 15. On your question as such, it may be possible to use SIP, but likely you could run into some trouble with the analog devices down the line depending on what you’re using them for. If it’s just phones there might likely not be that much issues, but if it’s modems or fax machines then it is a pretty big chance that you could run into trouble.
