Hi,
I had Cisco expressway setup (X8.6) & Exp E server is totally crashed. I need to rebuilt the server & plan to go with X8.10.4
1. How can I re-host the licenses?
2. Can I upgrade existing Exp C (8.6) to 8.10 straight way?
3. Can i use EXP C version 8.6 & EXP E version 8.10?
4. Is there any compatibility issue with UCM 10.5X & EXP 8.10?
Please advise.
Thanks
Suchi

Hi,
1. Just contact "Licensing@cisco.com", they can re-host your licenses. They'll ask you for some details I guess about the existing licenses and also you'll have to provide the new MAC's of the machines.
2. Yes, you can.
3. Don't think so. It's better that you upgrade.
4. No, everything's should work smoothly.
he only thing you must do is to create a PTR record in your internal DNS that'll point to your Expressway-E internal NIC IP address. Depends on the deployment of course:
If you won't do the above, the MRA won't work.

Confirmation on point#3 both C and E need to be the same version. Upgrading Expressway is very easy as you just point to the new file and initiate the upgrade.
