Hello!
I am experiencing issues from migration Call Manager 8.6 to Call Manager 12.5 (and 10.5 to 12.5, and 11.0 to 12.5) using PCD 12.5


I am using:
- the OVA (cucm_12.5_vmv13_v1.0.ova) ;
- bootable CUCM Software (Bootable_UCSInstall_UCOS_UNRST_12.5.1.11900-146.sgn.iso) ;
- PCD (PCD_UCOS_12.5.1.10000-18.sgn.iso);
- ESXI 6.5.

 

Critical Error:

The installation has encountered a unrecoverable internal error. For further assistance report the following information to your support provider.

"/user/local/cm/script/cm-dbl-install install RU PostInstall 12.5.1.11900-146 8.6.2.20000-2 /usr/local/cm/usr/local/cm//common/m1_root_dir/cluster-172.21.46.10/node-172.21.46.10//component/database /common/log/install/capture.txt" failed(1)
The system wiil now halt.

 

Can someone please help?

 

Migration using PCD 12.5 from Call Manager 8.6 to Call Manager 10.5, and Migration from Call Manager 10.5 to Call Manager 11.0, is working.
But experiencing issues from:
- migration Call Manager 8.6 to Call Manager 12.5
- migration Call Manager 10.5 to Call Manager 12.5
- migration Call Manager 11.0 to Call Manager 12.5
using PCD 12.5;

Hi,

The error is very generic and caused due to DB issues, so collect the install dump and open a TAC case for detail assistance.

it turns out the databases are different on different versions UCM? 11.X from 12.5

follow :

to collect the install dump, and past it hear, if not complex will help you out else TAC is the best place for it.

difference in DB depend after checking the logs, as said the error you get it generic for many thing that might have encountered during installation. also check the server state if read/write policy is good and there are are no deadlock of resources and installing database is a accessing physical disk as well for writing the db component.

well, now I'll try to do so.
Сan migrate immediately from version 11 to 12.5, or need to migrate to 11.5, then to 12.0 and then to 12.5 ?

migration is succesfully complit:

from 8.6.2.2000 to Bootable_UCSInstall_UCOS_UNRST_12.0.1.10000-10.sgn

and from Bootable_UCSInstall_UCOS_UNRST_12.0.1.10000-10.sgn to

BOOT-UCSInstall_UCOS_UNRST_12.5.1.10000-22.sgn.iso.

OVA:

cucm_12.5_vmv13_v1.0.ova

cucm_12.0_vmv8_v1.0.ova

PCD:

PCD_UCOS_12.5.1.10000-18.sgn
