problem after upgrade from 4.03 to 4.0.4sr1

We've upgraded over the week-end from 4.30 to 4.04sr1. Callmanagers were upgraded at the same time from 3.3.3 to 4.0.2a.

We now have a couple of users that have the following issue.

When they call their VM over the phone to check messages, the system tells that that they have X new messages. After pressing 1 to listen to them, the system tells them that they have no new messages and list the possible options again.

It works fine for most of the users. Only a dozens or so are affected.

The two events below were logged.

ES58 was applied last night and port 23 and 24 were setup to accept incoming calls.

The error and warning are now gone but the problem is still there. MWI works fine

I'm guessing the warning about port 23 is the problem and If I set it up back to not accept incoming calls the warning will be back.

Ok, first thing is I am assuming that you don't have any problems with CiscoUnity_Notifier Event ID: 1032 or CiscoUnity_Arbiter Event ID: 1037 anymore

The problem your subscriber are experiencing is probably bug CSCeg37011"Msgs not avail when NoDraft search folder ready but others not"

Get ES70 for Unity 4.0(4) Sr1 to resolve this issue.

Symptom:

A Unity Subscriber hears "You have 'x' new messages. To play new messages, Press 1"

After pressing '1', the Unity Subscriber hears "You have no new messages"

The message(s) do appear in the email client application. Message Waiting Indicators (MWI) status

is correct.

Conditions:

Unity version 4.0(4) SR1 integrated with Microsoft Exchange. One or more Unity Subscribers are

affected consistently.

Workaround:

A 4.0(4) Engineering Special 49 corrects this issue.

Further Problem Description:

The integration with Exchange involves a process where messages in the subscriber inbox are

filtered to designate voicemail & email, urgency of the message and the status of the message (read

or unread). If each of these filters are not applied, the folders containing the messages will not be created. The symptoms above occur when the Unity Subscriber Conversation attempts to access the

folder.
