I am using CUCM with PSTN/E1.
I am able to receive calls (Inbound) but unable to make calls (Outbound), what can I do to resolve it?

When I receive calls:
May 11 18:47:44.559 GMT: ISDN Se0/1/0:15 Q931: RX <- SETUP pd = 8 callref = 0x69D3
Bearer Capability i = 0x8090A3
Standard = CCITT
Transfer Capability = Speech
Transfer Mode = Circuit
Transfer Rate = 64 kbit/s
Channel ID i = 0xA98383
Exclusive, Channel 3
Calling Party Number i = 0x1181, '258842912221'
Plan:ISDN, Type:International
Called Party Number i = 0xC1, '0957700'
Plan:ISDN, Type:Subscriber(local)
High Layer Compat i = 0x9181
Sending Complete
May 11 18:47:44.573 GMT: ISDN Se0/1/0:15 Q931: TX -> CALL_PROC pd = 8 callref = 0xE9D3
Channel ID i = 0xA98383

When I make calls (Unable):
May 11 18:49:02.876 GMT: ISDN Se0/1/0:15 Q931: TX -> SETUP pd = 8 callref = 0x0003
Sending Complete
Bearer Capability i = 0x8090A3
Standard = CCITT
Transfer Capability = Speech
Transfer Mode = Circuit
Transfer Rate = 64 kbit/s
Channel ID i = 0xA98394
Exclusive, Channel 20
Display i = 'IT'
Calling Party Number i = 0x0081, N/A
Plan:Unknown, Type:Unknown
Called Party Number i = 0x80
Plan:Unknown, Type:Unknown
May 11 18:49:02.921 GMT: ISDN Se0/1/0:15 Q931: RX <- STATUS pd = 8 callref = 0x8003
Cause i = 0x82E328 - Information element not implemented
Call State i = 0x01

Also the setting “Number of digits to strip” is All. This would something that I would be looking at as it sounds wrong to me.

There is no calling or called number information in the debug.

Calling Party Number i = 0x0081, N/A
Plan:Unknown, Type:Unknown
Called Party Number i = 0x80
Plan:Unknown, Type:Unknown

Make sure that you send this through from CM to the gateway and then onwards to the service provider.

I am sure that it´s going through the gateway.

The RP is linked to that GW.
But as soon I make outgoing calls they get dropped, but I can receive incoming calls.

What control protocol do you use for the gateway, SIP, H.323 or MGCP? Depending upon the answer the next step would be to run a set of debugs on the gateway to see what you get from CM.

Cisco MGCP E1 Port

That would be the protocol that I have the least updated knowhow about since we moved away from it many years ago. Recommend you to do a search for what debugs that would be applicable for MGCP or let’s see if someone else in the community can assist you with this.

If you are sure that you send the numbers from CM to the gateway test to set the type of number and plan to match what you get for an inbound call on the outbound call.

Calling Party Number i = 0x1181, '258842912221'
Plan:ISDN, Type:International
Called Party Number i = 0xC1, '0957700'
Plan:ISDN, Type:Subscriber(local)

That was after changing it.
And still not able to make outgoing calls.

That is the details for the GW

Change those from Cisco CallManager to match the values you get from the Telco on an inbound call and reset the gateway in CM to activate the change.

Set it to 0?

That was the solution.
Thanks.
