voice mail notification on phones stay period?

cuc 10.5.1

im wondering how long does the voice mail notification "light and prompt" stay on the phone , is there an settings on the cuc that control how long it stays visible?

It remains until the message is read and CUC sends an MWI Off command to CUCM.

no my question is if the voice mail doesn't get opened , how long does the notification stays on? does stay indefinitely or there is a set number of days before it goes away and if there is where can i set it?

Rephrasing my previous answer: It remains on indefinitely. When the message is marked read, CUC will send CUCM an MWI Off command. The MWI will remain on until that happens.
